I’ve always been interested in photographing historic places around Lethbridge, and more recently interested in collecting original historic photos. So when I saw this 1907 letter and postcard set from Lethbridge on ebay, I had to buy it! Here’s what I received in the mail today. Kind of cool to receive a letter from 1907 in the mail…

“This postcard was written by Georgina Sarah McMullin Davis to her mother Ellen McMullin in Blytheswood, Ontario (near Leamington). In 1916, Georgie and her husband Frank Davis, (b.Bristol, England emigrated to Canada in 1892), lived in Fort MacLeod where Frank was listed as a conductor on the CPR. Children Vivian, Dorothy and Evan. So there explains Georgie’s note on the Rail station that Frank went out from there every day.”

I shot this group portrait for Daytona Homes back in February, and thought during Lethbridge Parade of Homes would be a good time to share some of the work I do for them.

Here’s a portrait I shot of Judith Kulig for the University of Lethbridge a few months back. The image has just been released in their current publication “Snapshot” and on the front page of the UofL’s website.

Its been a while since I’ve seen Jay and Eon, but its always good times when they come through town! Bedouin Soundclash played an awesome show at the Stone, and I was glad I could catch up with the guys and shoot a few photos!

The last time Sabrina visited her grandparents out in Yorkton SK, she came across an old dress they’d found out at their abandoned farmstead. The dress was originally made by her grandmother for her aunt Jackie’s graduation, around 27 years ago. After trying it on, and it being the perfect fit, she asked if she could bring it back to Lethbridge for a photo shoot. Here are the results.
