Southern Alberta Magazine
I always enjoy shooting for the UofL’s Southern Alberta Magazine, and the Fall 2011 issue was no exception. This issue includes photos of NWT politician J. Michael Miltenberger, UofL chancellor Dr. Shirley McClellan, and UofL researcher Dr. Judith Kulig. You can view the entire publication online HERE.

The Chinese National League Building
With the almost imminent demolition of The Chinese National League building set for later this week, I’ve been making an effort to document this historical building before it’s gone. Here’s some of the photos and portraits I’ve captured so far.

1907 Letter
I’ve always been interested in photographing historic places around Lethbridge, and more recently interested in collecting original historic photos. So when I saw this 1907 letter and postcard set from Lethbridge on ebay, I had to buy it! Here’s what I received in the mail today. Kind of cool to receive a letter from 1907 in the mail…
**Update** I posted this blog entry on facebook and Janet Mauza dug up some info on the people in the letter! Thanks Janet!
“This postcard was written by Georgina Sarah McMullin Davis to her mother Ellen McMullin in Blytheswood, Ontario (near Leamington). In 1916, Georgie and her husband Frank Davis, (b.Bristol, England emigrated to Canada in 1892), lived in Fort MacLeod where Frank was listed as a conductor on the CPR. Children Vivian, Dorothy and Evan. So there explains Georgie’s note on the Rail station that Frank went out from there every day.”

Blood Reserve Fracking Issue
Here’s a few photos I shot last month for Marion Warnica while she was recording an interview with Mike Bruisedhead over the controversial fracking issue on the Blood Reserve.

Craig Cardiff – Making Pies
Here’s a video I shot back in January when Craig Cardiff was in Lethbridge at The Slice. Thanks to Chris Schultz for helping film!
