Mythbusters
The new issue of Lethbridge Living hits stands today! This issue includes a few of my photos of Tory and Grant from Discovery Channel’s Mythbusters. This was one of the fastest portraits I have ever shot, three poses, five frames of each pose, and that was it. It was great to meet the guys. here’s two of the photos that were published:

Fashion Show
Dustin Rabin
Had a good photographer friend of mine visit from Toronto for a few days. Here’s a quick portrait I shot before he left. If you haven’t seen his work before check it out at dustinrabin.com

Mythbusters Photo Shoot
Here is a shot of Torry, Grant and I, taken after shooting a very quick portrait of the Mythbusters during their visit to Lethbridge. Thanks to Rod Leland and Danny Ponomar for helping things run smoothly!
New Background
Just picked up a new seamless background for a portrait I will be shooting. Here is a test shot with my brother last night.
Lethbridge Fire Spinners
Here are a few shots published in January’s edition of Lethbridge Living magazine. This was one of the funnest shoots I did last year! The photo shoot was set up in a basement woodworking shop, which required renting the space, clearing all the flammable things, getting insurance, and a fire permit before being able to use fire. We had fire extinguishers, wet blankets, fuel, fog machines, spinning gear, a few assistants on hand for safety…. AND STILL… we had the fire department show up sirens blazing on their trucks!! We had gone through the proper precautions, but as it turns out, the shop ventilation shafts didn’t like our fog machine particles, and set off the fire alarm. Guess we know for next time!

Henotic Jason
Jason asked me last month to shoot a quick portrait of him for an article being published in Beatroute magazine. There was one catch, he had to be wearing his favorite hat! He said something along the lines of: “If people are having a bad day, I put this hat on, and it always makes them smile” Made me smile for sure! We did a few shots by the bar, and then a shot on the stage that was being prepped for that night. He loved all the goofy posed shots, but I liked this moment where I caught him with just a straight face, it was the only odd one out in the shoot.

Cydney V
There is a good chunk of Lethbridge kids out in Kelowna, and we all try to meet up when someone’s in town visiting. Cyd is a nurse in Kelowna, and luckily had some time off so she could join us on the Last Day of Labour photoshoot. First shot we found a stuffed eagle, and decided to play. Second shot Cyd couldn’t resist getting wet too!

Getting lost in Alberta
Day off, work was stacked up, it was a nice November day, so I decided to spend it driving around country roads aimlessly. I picked up Headley, and took off North of Taber to find an abandoned town with an old church, and some worn down buildings. After driving around gravel roads for about and hour, we found the place we were looking for, here’s a few frames.

Lauren & Cory’s Engagement
I’ve known Cory since high school. He was the kid that threw the best parties, and the guy you would always have epic road trips with. Its been forever since I’ve hung out with my old friend, and I’m stoked to have shot his engagement, and even more stoked to shoot his and Lauren’s wedding. I’m sure its going to be one hell of a party!
